What is the GDPR? What does Infomail do to comply with the regulation?

The GDPR has changed the rules on privacy and the public’s attitude towards the handling of personal data. That’s why we’ve written a dedicated page for more information on the matter. Infomail allows you to request subscription to your lists with the double opt-in formula, so that the user who subscribes to your newsletter receives an email to which they must respond. Their consent is guaranteed by the fact that they intentionally, transparently, and consciously respond to the email, ensuring the highest possible quality for your communications.

What is Infomail’s policy on the processing of personal data?

Managing personal data is fundamental. That’s why we have described the processing methods in our Privacy Policy document. It is an extremely important page that we have tried to make explicit and very understandable, in line with the requirements of the GDPR. To become Infomail users, it is mandatory to explicitly read and accept the expressed conditions.

What is meant by the term ‘spam’?

Spam is an unwanted email message, usually sent without a prior request. It can be sent by companies or individuals, with varying contents. Spam is a crime, as it goes against privacy laws. Infomail, like other industry operators, is actively committed to combating spam and enforces strict control policies to prevent malicious individuals’ use of its technology. Where can the addresses to be used in an email marketing campaign come from?

Email addresses for email marketing campaigns can be collected directly from the company by requesting them from current and potential customers, usually on their own website through subscription forms or through specific direct marketing and social campaigns. In accordance with the GDPR, it is important to make sure to respect the recipient’s wishes, having recorded their explicit consent to be contacted through an email marketing service such as Infomail in your systems.

How can I acquire new addresses?

To acquire new addresses, it is essential to include a registration or subscription form for your newsletter on your website, explicitly stating the type of data processing that will be carried out on the collected data. Infomail automatically generates a configurable form for each created list. As soon as a user fills out the form, their data is added to the list associated with it.

Can I modify the registration form and customize it with other fields?

Certainly! It is possible to modify the registration form by adding new fields, choosing the data entry mode (free text, drop-down menu, single choice, multiple choice), and deciding whether or not to make them mandatory. Since the form is in HTML, it is also possible to insert your own logo and modify the background color, making it look just like your website’s style.

What happens if a user requests to be removed from a list?

Users who request to have their email address removed from a list and confirm their action are blocked by the system. Therefore, it will not be possible to send any further communications to those addresses. By contacting customer support, it is possible to re-enable those who decide to receive communications again.

What is a CSV file?

A CSV (“Comma Separated Value”) file is a text file in which the fields are separated by a punctuation mark, usually a comma (,) or a semicolon (;). Both Excel and Google Sheets allow you to create or import files of this format.

Do Infomail templates display well on smartphones? Infomail templates are displayed correctly on all devices and tested on the most popular email clients. Each template can be easily adapted to your needs in just a few clicks: with templates, you have models designed with neutral images and backgrounds, specifically designed to be adapted. What computer skills are required? Do I need to be a technology expert? Infomail offers intuitive tools that allow you to create effective and professional newsletters and manage your lists and contacts effectively. Can I customize the communication so that the recipients’ first and last names appear automatically? To make sure that users see their first and last name in the communication they receive, you need to act in the email editor and click on the “Merge tag” button at the point of interest. Click on “First name” to insert the user’s first name and “Last name” to insert the last name. A placeholder will be inserted which, at the time of sending, will be replaced with the corresponding data. Is it possible to modify the pre-set graphic templates? Certainly. All graphic templates uploaded to Infomail can be fully modified. You can select the one that best suits your needs and proceed with modification interventions: change the text, its size and color, insert your images and resize them as you wish, change the background color. The templates are completely customizable. Can I attach a file? How can I do it? On Infomail, you can attach files as a link inserted in the email. First of all, it is necessary to upload the attachment to the platform by selecting the “Attachments” menu item. To include it in the communication, it must be linked to an image or text file by inserting a link, copied from the uploaded file.

Sending an email and checking the results Are emails sent immediately? Can I communicate promptly?

Certainly: Infomail sends your communications immediately unless you choose to schedule the shipment for a specific time.

Can I add a new sender and a new email address for my shipment?

Certainly: it is possible to add a new sender under “Personal Data,” and create a new sender and email address to choose from at the time of shipment. This allows you to send as Mario Rossi even if the account sender is Andrea Verdi. A verification code will be sent to the new address to enable its use. The choice of sender is made from the drop-down menu at the time of shipment.

Can I verify what errors occurred in the shipment?

On the preview page of the statistics, the number of emails that did not reach their destination is reported. By clicking on this data, you can access the page that shows in detail what errors caused the shipment to fail. In most cases, these are non-existent users. The addresses that are found to be incorrect will be blocked by the platform, thus avoiding repeating the shipment to them.

Can I identify which users click on the links included?

On the summary page of the statistics for a shipment, you can view the individual and total number of clicks made on the links included in the communication. To view which users clicked on the links and how many times they did so, simply download the detailed statistics in CSV format by clicking on the appropriate button at the top right.

Can I identify which users open the communication?

To make a purchase, simply register for free and without obligation. On your profile page, you can proceed to purchase the solution that meets your needs. You can choose to buy a subscription or credits for sending. By selecting a subscription, you will have unlimited sends each month, paying only based on the number of contacts you have uploaded to your lists. Alternatively, if you prefer a pay-per-use solution, you can purchase credit packages for sending. Each credit corresponds to one email that you can send. You can choose to pay by credit card or bank transfer. In the latter case, send the proof of payment to [email protected] to activate the credits or subscription you have purchased.

There are no activation or support fees on Infomail. You can choose to pay only for the sends you make or to purchase a subscription for unlimited monthly sends, depending on the contacts in your lists. Support is always included in the cost of the service, and there are no additional expenses for assistance.
